Pen & Rose Productions was founded in London, 2013 by theatre makers Emma Minihan and Charlie Limm to develop their own performance practice, and construct creative platforms for others.

P&R's first theatrical project, the comedy Life in a Sketchbook by Emma Minihan, was a collaboration with the then fledgling P&R company and established company Encompass Productions. Life in a Sketchbook was performed in the Top Secret Comedy Club, Covent Garden during July 2013.

The company’s first solo theatrical project What is Future I? (WIFI), an immersive exploration into connection in the modern age, premiered September 2014 at the Tea House Theatre, Vauxhall. It combined theatre with live music, tea and cake.

P&R  next set out to bring different disciplines together by establishing a quarterly festival themed event night of music, comedy and spoken word artists. 2013 saw a successful beginning of these events with Autumnfest held in the charming The Selkirk Pub, Tooting. This tradition continued with events hosted in an array of venues across London, the latest being a Summer Fling in the The Colour House Theatre, July 2015.

P&R began working with their local children's theatre, The Colour House Theatre, in September 2014 and have now set up a theatre school for young people. They use devising techniques to create original shows, incorporating acting, song, directing, technical theatre and much more!

Pen & Rose have completed their first UK tour with The River Spirit, a folk inspired play exploring themes of community and environmental issues. We visited London, Taunton, Glastonbury and Somerset during September 2015.
